Port Orange

The city of Port Orange, also known as the City of Trees, is one of the most desired real estate areas in the county and is a wonderful place to a raise a family. It is a progressive city, which is full of history, and offers a diverse opportunity for waterfront relaxation, including fishing, boating, golf, and other sports. There are plenty of top-rated schools in the area, including Spruce Creek High School – one of Newsweek’s Top 100 schools in the nation – and home to Palmer College of Chiropractic, which was founded in 2002 by James E. Hether D.C. The River District, which is home to Riverwalk Park features a playground, splash park, picnic facilities, pavilions, shade structures, additional restrooms, a concession building, a portion of the boardwalk, event lawn, parking, and the southern portion of the trailway. The River District has plans in the works to expand with the newest water-front restaurant Fysh coming soon to Port Orange.

Port Orange is home to plenty of nature parks including the Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens, Cracker Creek, and Spruce Creek Park, and many others for residents to enjoy taking the sights and sounds of nature. There are plenty of options for shopping in the Port Orange area, with the All-Aboard Flea and Farmer’s market, The Pavilion at Port Orange, and multiple shopping centers along the Dunlawton corridor.
